Hmmmm anyone want some pie?

This past weekend I tried to not go TOO CRAZY with baking....but I came across a recipe via the Facebook called Fireball Whiskey Infused Apple Pie  It only included the ingredients so I had to google and here's what I found.....

You basically make your own apple pie, like you do. But....before you put everything together, you let the apples soak in the fireball for....3-4 hours....and then you put it all together and bake it. 

Mmmm so many apples.

 

 

We ended up putting them in a casserole dish and just stirred them up every so often. When they are done, you cook them with the rest of the ingredients. (Your usual, sugar, flour, brown sugar, etc) 

 

Makes this pretty sauce...mmmm

Mine made to much for one pie and I only had one set of crusts so I also made an apple crisp.

 

 

 

Mmmmmm ok. Now the big reveal!

 

 It was DELICIOUS. Yes the crust kind of fell off the pie. Aldi has some situations with their pie crusts lately which, I'm going to have to stop buying them there because they are very odd. I highly recommend this pie. It is yummy. But. I wouldn't buy a whole bottle of fireball JUST to make this pie. Jeremy had brought some to my house so I already had it on hand. Very cinnamony. Mmmmmm PIE.
