Lazy Sunday Means No Calories Get Left Behind

So been a pretty lazy Sunday food wise at least. Having my youngest brother spend the weekend meant staying up late and starting the day later. Which disclaimer- I'm a horrible sleeper in general. I think it would be something if I suffered from something- acid reflux, anxiety, IBS, etc.- but nope just feel like I should be doing something. Today was no different as went to bed at 2am and was up by 6am. Got some art stuff done while waiting for my brother to wake up to go get something to eat.

With that being said decided to hit up a favorite breakfast food joint, Double Yolk for I believe what was technically lunch. I was introduced to this place by my friend/little sister Nora. I don't recall how she found this joint but glad she had invited me there as the breakfast food is pretty phenomenal. Also a random fact (?) about me, I'm not very big into breakfast foods for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Not sure why but this place makes its way onto the exception list. The numerous times I've been here- which I think in total has been less than 10 times- my go to choice is this scrumptious pick:
Double Yolk's Greek Skillet with buttered Sourdough Toast
This awesomeness includes scrambled eggs, hash brown, gyro meat, feta cheese, onions, and tomatoes.  The toast options were extensive so picked sourdough toast. Other options included pancakes and other potatoes.  If you're into gyros and/or feta cheese, I highly recommend this one.

My brother went with some standard breakfast staple of biscuits and gravy known as the Down South. No that's not code for something even though it sounds like it.
Double Yolk's Down South
I'm not a fan of biscuits and gravy at all. Not sure if its the black peppery taste or possible the texture of like a watery biscuit (also not code for anything) just not very appealing. I gave it a try and confirmed to still not be a fan of biscuits and gravy. Kind of curious of how it got its starts and turns out it was during the American Revolutionary War. I guess its as patriotic as French fries. Apparently it was a way to make the most out of food rations. Guessing my snobbish nature can detect the cheapness of it. LOL just kidding really is just the seasoning that I don't like.

Ended up eating all my food as I was starving. I like to think I burned calories afterwards as we ended up going miniature golfing. Luckily the weather was hot so I think I at least burned off a piece of toast. Fairly certain this might be the last day of unhealthy eating...for this current streak at least.

Trying to eat healthy? Nacho problem today

Happy Friendship Day everyone!

What's that mean? Means another day of unhealthy food festivities. In fairness I did a bunch of yard work today and skipped breakfast so maybe that balances out... I mean technically if I go bulletproof diet I'm sure it's 80% healthy at the least. But I'm no expert on dieting so what do I know.

My youngest brother was my partner in crime on this day. First meal was at a Chicagoland staple: Portillo's. Pretty sure if you google it and/or look up at your favorite restaurant review location- you'll see that Portillo's is known for hot dogs and Italian beef. They have other items- chicken and fish sandwiches, Italian sausage, and salads- however for the most part I think you typically either get a hot dog or Italian beef. I mean it makes sense to go with what a place is best known for. This trip was no exception. I ended up with a jumbo hot dog and small fries. Like a dummy I forgot to take a picture but for the sake of being professional look at this stock photo and imagine my selection was identical.

Portillo's Jumbo Hot Dog and Small Fries
As can be expected it was unhealthy and well worst the blown calories. Fear not as I has a cup of water for a drink so I didn't go "crazy". Also to be noted by brother paid which was very kind/cool of him. Typically I always try to pay for meals- mostly with Tina as it drives her bonkers. Pretty much picked up that habit from my mom. But honestly it's one of those things - at least in my world- that shows appreciation for folks spending time with you. Times probably one of the greatest things you can give someone. This sappiness has brought to you by good food.

It was a late lunch- which honestly why is there no term for that? I mean there's brunch- which is between breakfast and lunch- but we don't have a term for between lunch and dinner? That's just stupid. I mean clearly the obviously front runner would be Lunner. I mean if order didn't matter I would suggest Dunch because it sounds horrible. Ended up seeing the new Jason Bourne movie afterwards- was a fantastic movie if you're into action type flicks.

Randomly my brother wanted to hit up Dairy Queen for a blizzard. I haven't been there in over 5 years if not longer. Was pretty funny as I had no idea why the guy opened the window and held the blizzard upside down. I may have uttered "what the (best swear word ever) are you doing?" Apparently its like a quality control type thing? I don't know I didn't pay attention. I did think it would be pretty funny if the dude dropped it but that did not happen.  It was pretty good but I mean Reese's peanut butter cups make most hings delicious.

Reese's Peanut Butter Blizzard
Ended up watching "Living on a Razor's Edge: The Scott Hall Story" while enjoying said blizzard. For you wrestling fans out there it to was a fantastic watch. Razor Ramon was my mom's favorite wrestler back in the early 90's.  I'm assuming it was cause she's a horn dog and he had a good physique. I mean she might surprise us by saying her persona but my money is on physique.

For dinner went to the local Mexican restaurant Burritos Arandas. If there's one thing about me and food, I can eat Mexican food on a daily basis without a problem. Also to continue the friendship celebration I ended up going with Al Pastor nachos which hit the spot.

Burritos Arandas: Al Pastor
No worries I did not eat all of the nachos no matter how badly my inner fat kid self wanted to. Was a great day out with my brother so it was all worth it. I'll get back on track tomorrow...unless day 4 happens..DUNT DUNT DUUUUUUUUN.

The Cove-Leland, Michigan

Okey dokey people! Today we went to Leland, Michigan. Specifically, to historic Fishtown. Pretty neat place, it's a series of small stores and whatnot on a wharf that heads into Lake Michigan.
We were going to eat at a place called Bluebird Restaurant, but they forgot to seat us, so we ended up going to The Cove. My brother actually recommended it to us as he and his friend Fletcher had eaten there about a year ago. They took a camping trip to one of the Manitou Islands....which is....quite naturey. Like, digging your own latrine naturey. You catch the ferry from Fishtown to get there....
I believe that is one of the boats....

Let's talk about the food and drink shall we? I had a Black Rocks Coconut Brown. It's a local brew from the more northerly Marquette. It was nutty and strong. THATS WHAT SHE SAID. (I'm so sorry. Jk. Not sorry). My dad got this as his second drink.

Mom got a beer called Gonzos Vanilla Porter. Surprisingly she really liked it. I was surprised because it's kind of heavy. It was very vanilla but I highly enjoyed it.
Next onto the food. Mom got a burger. Her fave. She's sometimes not too adventurous. I did get her to put some malt vinegar on her fries though...

Dad and I both had whitefish fish and chips. YUMMO. The fish was super tender and flaky and I don't think I have ever enjoyed fish and chips as much as I did today.

Here's my mom and dad. Probably right after my mom yelled at my dad for breathing or something.
It was an excellent eating adventure. I would totally go there again. When my brother went there he had the Chubby Mary (noted on my beer glass) that is a Bloody Mary with a chub fish sticking out of it. He's kind of in love with fish, so not a surprise. However, I do not *love* a Bloody Mary. I want it to taste like tomato soup. Which is weird I know. Maybe I should try to learn how to like it, because vegetables? I'll work on it. Maybe. If someone else gets it and I can taste it and then decide. Not that one with the fish because also, the people behind me had one and there was a fish with its eyeball staring at me. And I feel like it would start talking to me like that Billy Bass fish thing.....
Billy Bass fish thing.....

All in all, a win in my book.

Home, home on the range

Well. After some delicious day drinking and eating, it was my turn to cook in the north woods. I generally offer to cook up here because a. I like cooking and b. WHY ARE WE ALWAYS BRINGING COOLERS FULL OF FOOD THAT WE THEN HAVE TO SCHLEP BACK HOME. Sorry. Momentary rage of things not making sense.
So. My folks keep their fridge on year round so there is always some stuff in the freezer and a smattering of just in case canned goods and seasonings. We generally bring more perishable items, cheese, produce, stuff like that. So I keep looking through all of the things we brought and suggesting things, pasta with roasted veggies? Roasted veggies with rice? Anything with roasted veggies? (We brought a lot of veggies. Well. I brought a dead zucchini that is moldy that I'm pretty sure my mom is going to peel the mold off of and try to make me eat. I DECLINE MOM. I also brought a beautiful not dead zucchini from my friend's mom's garden and a vidalia onion). Now my folks are pretty basic cooks. My dad would be more adventurous but my mom won't let him. She doesn't like cooking so she makes a lot of very simple one pot fare, or they do a lot of meat, plus some veggies = dinner. Or their favorite, a packet of veggies on the grill with the tiniest amount of seasoning. (Almost always potatoes and carrots and onions. I don't really like a cooked carrot except in soup so NOPE) So of course in an effort to troll my mom, my dad is like YES COOK DINNER.
So we agree I will cook outside, over the fire in lieu of the grill, and NOT INSIDE because it's TOO HOT. NEVERMIND that my dad made a delicious and beautiful pie. We will get to his pie in a little bit. So I marinate the chicken ("what do you mean you want to marinate the chicken?!?" "Well, I GUESS, if you HAVE to." "Which bottle of olive oil did you use? The small one or the large one??")  (oh sorry, that was some commentary from my mother who never met a complaint she could not not say. She's extra on fire this week. Something must be bugging her or making her anxious but she's really tough to crack and I can't for the life of me figure it out. So it's literally just non-stop complaints/yelling at me and dad). Back to the chicken. I marinated it in olive oil with some salt and pepper and Cajun seasoning, and then cut up half of my pretty zucchini and onion and two little russet potatoes my mom brought (" don't use the big one it's the good one" ???!!?). My dad got the fire going and we Dutch ovened it. I don't know why this picture is sideways nor how to fix it via my phone. (WE WILL FIX IT IN EDITING).

I was splitting these with my dad....
On the fire! This fire was also really sad. We just did charcoal at first then threw that tiny log on it.

All finished! Probably took about...25 min or so...

I threw some Parmesan on mine because it needed a little something extra and the seasoning choices were like, Italian, onion powder, some seasoned salt from 1985, and Cajun seasoning. Hmmmm. Anyways. It came out great. I was really happy with it. The comments from the peanut gallery were as follows:
Why is this so anemic looking?
I guess this is ok.
It's not bad.

WELL THEN A RINGING ENDORSEMENT I WILL TAKE IT.
Now. I brought strawberries with, my mom cut down some rhubarb from the yard and my dad made a beautiful and delicious strawberry rhubarb pie. And he made the crust. And it was basically for me because it's my favorite. He kept apologizing for his crust making ability and I'm like, who keeps telling you your crust sucks? I always love it. Strong side eye over to mom, who apparently DOESNT LIKE CRUST AT ALL (she's basically a pastry heretic) so I told him to zero percent listen to her crazy and just remember that I like it and he's making it for me. Anyways. It was sooooo good. I am always happy about as much home cooked goodness as can be done for a meal. I think was born in the wrong era. Like, it doesn't matter to me at all if I spend upwards of 2 hours cooking for dinner. I sometimes imagine myself a farm wife or something who was basically rolling out biscuits and bread all day. Now I want to bake bread. I'm not getting yelled at though so I'm going to drink my coffee in peace.

This is a not good picture of the pie. I enjoy the clashing of the pie with the plate pattern with the placemat. It's CHRISTMAS OK?

Cooking So Good You'll Slap Your Mama...(please don't slap your mom)

On a redemption food quest after my venture from the other day was destroy by the evil Weather Wizard Tom Skilling. It did start to rain but I was on a mission from the food gods and was not going to let it deter me two days in a row. I finally got a favorite unhealthy choice of nutrition: a gyro and fries. Worry not as I made it less unhealthy by getting the junior version of said food. I have to keep myself some what slim now and days.
Junior Gyro and fries from Mr. Beef & Gyro
The gyro and fries did the number and almost gave me the "itis" but I moved on ahead with my plans of grocery shopping as I had to get ingredients as part of a birthday gift for my step-dad. I hit up one of the supermarkets near me- Meijer- and did regular grocery shopping as well as my usual perusing of all the aisles. I believe I might have been in there for a bit of time as I didn't really have a list outside of mandatory ingredients needed for the special selection.  Upon my perusing I stumbled across some new items (at least to me) that caught my fancy and peaked my interest.

Typically my wife is a huge fan of Noosa brand yogurt. So as I went to get her favorite flavor I noticed what I thought was a crazy concept for a flavor "Blackberry Serrano".  What caught my attention was the pepper image with the words "sweet heat" on it. Considering that's my street name I had to buy it.  Just kidding...I was going to buy it regardless cause it was something different. Also I enjoy their play on yogurt with "yoghurt".
Noosa Blackberry Serrano yogurt

The final verdict: I like it. Overall the initial flavor is blackberry with like a pepper smell. The serrano pepper kind of gives it a slight kick for an after taste but not that spicy at all. I think I would put it on the list of would buy again if I happen to see it again and was in the mood for yogurt.

The other new item I ran across which I've never personally seen before was Enjoya Pepper.
Enjoya Pepper
Apparently per internet research (no not wikipedia) This pepper was first introduced in 2013 by Wilred van den Berg from the Netherlands. Pretty much just a striped bell pepper in my estimation. Will have to see how that turns out.

So what is it that my step-dad enjoys to the most? Funny enough one of his favorite meals/items that I have made is a cranberry Italian sausage stuffing...or depending on where/how you grew up "dressing".  I suppose if it stands on its own outside of a bird it should classify as dressing however you're still going to be stuffing your face with it so I still call it a stuffing.

Any who after the first time I made it my step dad became the biggest fan of it. So much so that he claimed- and still does- that it was better than any his own mother ever made. Considering I've never sampled his mother's cooking I'm going to have to think that at the very least my cooking ain't too shabby.  He kind of mentioned it a couple days ago and with his birthday here I decided to bust my cooking skills and give the old man one of his favorite meals to celebrate. So after some fine culinary tactics and skills I present to you my household famous stuffing/dressing:
Reef's Italian Cranberry Stuffing/Dressing
I don't think I've come across anyone who didn't like it- then again I haven't tried to serve it to someone who's a vegan and/or was allergic to anything in it so the test pool is fairly small.

My wife enjoys my cooking time as I usually have loud music of some sort blasting. Also I have been know to rock her apron- which is lovely and has her name on it. Overall cooking is a good stress reliever in my world so I highly enjoy it. So much so that this past Thanksgiving I actually cooked twice- double of everything. I might have issues. So if you're in the area for a major holiday and/or a special occasion, I can be convinced to cook something fairly easily.

Jolly Pumpkin

So today we traveled over yonder to the Jolly Pumpkin in (I think) Traverse City. It's down the road apiece from the Old Mission Lighthouse.
Dad had Bam Noire. I had the Weizen Bam. It was delicious.

Then for lunch my mom had a Cuban, I had the pulled pork (I've eaten it there before. Very tasty). Dad had...the bison sloppy joe. Mmmmm

Then I had a secondary beer which, was, a little heavier but still tasty. This one was called Fuego Del Otoño. Fall Fire? It was on tap. Mmmmmm soooo good.

I don't really have that much else to say about it. It's a cool restaurant/ brewery. They are part of the North Peak Brewing Company in Traverse City, which I have also been to that is yummy. But I mean, what isn't there to like about it? This place is like the interior of an old barn with lots of cross beams and a huge fireplace. Sitting behind us was a wedding party we had encountered at the beach earlier, so that was cool. The bride's dress was cotton and kind of goddess/hippie long and flowy and I own at least three similar styles. It was a perfect wedding dress in my opinion. The attendants all had little white flower/feather clips in their hair and were all wearing their own dresses. The groom was wearing a white button down untucked with the sleeves rolled up and red chino shorts. It was very low key. I wanted to be their friends. Ha!

Fancy New Things

Grocery shopping is one of my favorite activities for some reason. No worries it's not to interact with folks as I tend to go at off times to avoid the large crowds. I do write a list of stuff I need but that's more like a suggested list outside of what the wife aka "la jefa" wrote down. With that said I do like to peruse the aisles and see what catches my attention. Easily the best marketing strategy and/or my biggest weakness is the word "NEW" on something. Chances are if its new and seems above average in the interesting scale, I'm most likely going to buy it and try it. Tonight's dinner was no exception to that trap.

Now originally I was thinking about going out to go grocery shopping and that in itself would be an excuse to stop somewhere and get something to eat. Upon a suggestion in a group text with the wife and Tina, it seemed like the agreed upon item was going to be a delicious gyro. I think sensing that I was going to go alone and/or her not being able to partake in said gyro,  Tina contacted her favorite weather wizard Tom Skilling. He in turn unleashed a heavy rainstorm in the Chicagoland area that heavily dissuaded me from venturing out to the outside world. "CURSES! YOU WIN THIS ROUND TINA!" might have been uttered...or I may have recorded a video and sent it Tina shaming her for killing my will to get a gyro.

So what was a boy left at home alone to do? The only logical option: check inside the freezer and find something he forgot he had previously bought. And what did this lonely gyro deprived boy find:
Doritos Loaded- Nacho Cheese Flavor

Notice on the top right the word "NEW!" Ding! Ding! if you guessed that was the reason I most likely bought this box of frozen food. Plus I mean Doritos most likely made me think "how can you go wrong?"

Goes in the oven 450 degrees for 12 minutes
So surprisingly these weren't microwaveable which I think kind of goes against something that would be frozen and look like fast food type quality. Still 12 minutes in the oven isn't too shabby. Figured I would serve up my immature food selection on a fitting plate.
Nothing can kill the Grimace
So honestly I don't remember a noticeable taste of Dorito flavor as I would have hoped for. The main flavor was mostly the nacho cheese flavor you get from when you order nachos in the movie theater or some other similar establishment. Also it was a bit peppery seasoning wise in my opinion. It's very likely that I was still let down from the foiled plans of obtaining a gyro for a different level of unhealthiness. I mean they weren't horrible but not really something I'd buy again...unless of course I saw the NEW! verbiage and forgotten I had tried them before. That really isn't out of the realm of possibility.

There's always tomorrow I suppose..as long as no one tells Tina...who probably just read this... CURSES!

Pizzaaaa

So I'm (mildly) drunkenly writing this...I'm on my third LaBatt's Blue (which apparently is just call LaBatt Blue...whatevs). These cans feature the state of Michigan, which, it's a Canadian beer soooo? What now? Pilsner is spelled Canada-y so yay?

I don't know. We had pizza from an establishment named the Yankee Boy. It's *the* restaurant in town. I haven't been inside since I was like....23ish Sooo I stole these images off of google. My dad walks over to get the pizza.

But the pizza is delicious. It always has been since I was a kid.
We had sausage and black olives (Kyle would be happy!) and sausage and onion. Parmesan crust. I would say this is better pizza than any chain. ESPECIALLY PAPA JOHN'S. Which patently sucks.

Remember when Papa John had his old camaro that he sold found? I do. Because I remember weird stuff like that. Or when he was a dick about Obamacare? I also remember. I also remember that his pizza sucks and he should be PAYING US to eat it. Whatever. Yankee Boy is delicious. My stomach thanks you dad for getting it for us.

Good Old Traveling Fare

I'm en route to the north woods of Michigan with my folks. My dad never met a "back way" that makes us "avoid traffic" and "trucks" and "construction" that he wasn't a million percent in love with. Also, my parents are in love with utilizing maps and atlases at all points in time while getting off of the tollways/expressways/freeways. Even for ways they have gone like, four thousand times. I digress. So. Hour three into an alleged six hour trip we encountered the good old BK. Home of the BK BROILER and the BK LOUNGE. Sorry. Dane Cook reference. (SHUT UP I KNOW WE ARE SUPPOSED TO HATE HIM. But come on. If you know anything about him he says Fuck Shoes.)
Nicest BK I've ever been in. I was in a hurry so I didn't take pictures of the interior. But it was all marble and crap. This was in Stevensville, Michigan.

I mean. I OBVS got a whopper with cheese, which actually, now that I think about it, I said I was fine without cheese....let me find that receipt...

Some fries which I shared with my doggie Duncan. Cause I don't love BK'a fries.

This is Duncan. He was drinking water out of that BK cup on the floor. He enjoyed the fries.

I mean, ultimate service is their goal. Is this like real ultimate power?

Fat Kid For Life

So tonight's foodie trek was to Standard Market with one of my best friends/little sister Nora. During the where do you want to go eat phase of planning- which in general I'm horrible at doing- I dropped this rationale: "I go with whatever. #fatkidporvida". I might not reflect the big guy I was before but I still do love going to good restaurants and trying new food. When it comes to picking a place I usually 98% of the time go wherever the person(s) I'm with wants to go.  Mostly cause I'll eat anything but secondly and probably more imporant I want the person(s) I'm with to enjoy the food as well. Some reason that's a big deal to me- not sure why but hey what can you?

I started going to Standard Market in Naperville, IL a couple years ago. I had driven by it a couple times after it opened and was like screw it let me check it out. It's a restaurant/grocery store combo but more fancier say than what that sounds like.  The food was magnificent. Funny enough they are one of those places where you don't tip. Through me for a loop as I was sitting there eating and seeing folks just leaving without tipping. So much so I had taken to Facebook to see if anyone knew what the tipping situation was and all that. What can I say other than I like to be kosher.

I use to always order the Cuban Chicken sandwich but for some godforsaken reason they decided to stop making those. Typically I eat different items every time I go somewhere cause I like to be random but that sandwich was so good I disregarded protocol and always go it. So now with that discontinue I had to explore new options which I basically perused the menu quickly and went with the first thing that stood out to me. I was not disappointed in the least.

I got a California Turkey sandwich (multi-grain bread, shaved turkey, havarti cheese, mustard-honey, avocado, tomato, and red onion) and a side of sweet potato fries.
Standard Market "Calfornia Turkey" which entails

Nora got the Mustard-Honey Chicken sandwich (pretzel batard, grilled chicken, monterey jack cheese, roasted red pepper, bacon, avocado, bibb lettuce, and red onion) and a side of sweet potato fries
Standard Market "Mustard-Honey Chicken"
Pretty much the two staples that are must have (unless you hate sweet potatoes or have some sort of allergies) are the sweet potato fries and the honey mustard sauce. Not sure what kind of brujeria they use but those are excellent. True story- I never like sweet potato until I was like 25 years old. Not sure what my deal was other than being a weirdo. Anyway both those things are superb must tries.

For dessert we hit up their bakery section in the grocery side and got some cookies:
Those were pretty delicious as well. Kudos to whoever baked those cause they were exquisite.

Had a great time chilling out and talking shenanigans. So yeah if you're in the Naperville, Westmont, or Lincoln Park area (Chicago) I highly recommend stopping by Standard Market and grabbing some grub. And if you're definitely going to the Naperville 1) hit me up cause you know I love the food and 2) you can help me become a social butterfly.

The Mysterious Ghost at Starbucks

The older we get the more into our health and fitness we get. Tina is no exception to this. She has been on a walking routine for a bit now- which I pause so you readers can get your clapping and cheering in uninterrupted.... Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

In one of our various adventures, Tina may have been persuaded to purchase a walking/running outfit with a camouflage design on it. I mean we were in the lovely state of Indiana which by my background is considered "Big Country" territory. I would assume that said country living requires guns and hunting. So possibly this outfit was inspired to incorporate getting fit while chasing down bambi? I have no idea but that's my best guess.

So what does this have to do with food? Thank you for asking. Today Tina went on one of her walking routines which also coordinates with her other routine- going to Starbucks. She had said on attire so I imagine the event went something like this. (insert dream sequence/wavy lines in your mind):

Starbucks door opening- *CHING CHING*

Employees and patrons looking at the door and wondering, "How did that door magically open up all on its own? I don't see anyone...must have been the wind"

Starbucks employee no doubt being employee of the month and straightening up the counter hears out of no where- "Hi, CAN I HAVE AN ICED PASSION FRUIT TEA WITH NO SWEETNER, Trenta size of course!"

Employee: What??? Um who said that?

Tina (in camouflage ghost form): I did. Can I have a trenta size Iced Passion Fruit tea. NO SWEETNER!

Employee: (mumbles scared swear word as to not get fired) a ghost just ordered an iced passion fruit tea...

Tina (in camouflage ghost form): WITH NO SWEETNER!

Employee: I don't get paid enough for this... That'll be $3.65

Tina (in camouflage ghost form handing over phone to pay): Here you go.

Employee: oh what the hell? Ghosts use iPhones? Here's you go...

Employee looking around trying to hand a phone to Tina who is right in front of him. Just puts phone down on the counter. After a couple minutes Employee comes back with made drink.

Employee: Here you go ghost...

Employee places drink on the counter and backs away slowly.

Employee: Hope you have a good one...say hi to Patrick Swayze...or something...man I don't get paid enough.

Tina leaves confused but enjoys her Iced Passion Fruit Tea w/ no sweetner and continues on her lovely walk.

Dinner!!

So today we ate at this food court at our local Korean Market, Super H Mart.
I had Chinese, and sesame chicken with crab Rangoon. It was pretty good, the Rangoon didn't have a ton of filling, but it was freshly made so ergo, delicious.

Reef went with Filipino with a BBQ sampler platter with fried rice. The fried rice was epic. Just what you want in a fried rice. It came with BBQ pork, steak, and shrimp. I only tried the pork and it was damn tasty. Very tender. It had some delicious sauce on it, that was kind of sweet? I think?

This was the food court when you go in...
