We were going to eat at a place called Bluebird Restaurant, but they forgot to seat us, so we ended up going to The Cove. My brother actually recommended it to us as he and his friend Fletcher had eaten there about a year ago. They took a camping trip to one of the Manitou Islands....which is....quite naturey. Like, digging your own latrine naturey. You catch the ferry from Fishtown to get there....

I believe that is one of the boats....
Let's talk about the food and drink shall we? I had a Black Rocks Coconut Brown. It's a local brew from the more northerly Marquette. It was nutty and strong. THATS WHAT SHE SAID. (I'm so sorry. Jk. Not sorry). My dad got this as his second drink.
Mom got a beer called Gonzos Vanilla Porter. Surprisingly she really liked it. I was surprised because it's kind of heavy. It was very vanilla but I highly enjoyed it.

Next onto the food. Mom got a burger. Her fave. She's sometimes not too adventurous. I did get her to put some malt vinegar on her fries though...
Dad and I both had whitefish fish and chips. YUMMO. The fish was super tender and flaky and I don't think I have ever enjoyed fish and chips as much as I did today.
Here's my mom and dad. Probably right after my mom yelled at my dad for breathing or something.

It was an excellent eating adventure. I would totally go there again. When my brother went there he had the Chubby Mary (noted on my beer glass) that is a Bloody Mary with a chub fish sticking out of it. He's kind of in love with fish, so not a surprise. However, I do not *love* a Bloody Mary. I want it to taste like tomato soup. Which is weird I know. Maybe I should try to learn how to like it, because vegetables? I'll work on it. Maybe. If someone else gets it and I can taste it and then decide. Not that one with the fish because also, the people behind me had one and there was a fish with its eyeball staring at me. And I feel like it would start talking to me like that Billy Bass fish thing.....
Billy Bass fish thing..... All in all, a win in my book.
