So been a pretty lazy Sunday food wise at least. Having my youngest brother spend the weekend meant staying up late and starting the day later. Which disclaimer- I'm a horrible sleeper in general. I think it would be something if I suffered from something- acid reflux, anxiety, IBS, etc.- but nope just feel like I should be doing something. Today was no different as went to bed at 2am and was up by 6am. Got some art stuff done while waiting for my brother to wake up to go get something to eat.
With that being said decided to hit up a favorite breakfast food joint, Double Yolk for I believe what was technically lunch. I was introduced to this place by my friend/little sister Nora. I don't recall how she found this joint but glad she had invited me there as the breakfast food is pretty phenomenal. Also a random fact (?) about me, I'm not very big into breakfast foods for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Not sure why but this place makes its way onto the exception list. The numerous times I've been here- which I think in total has been less than 10 times- my go to choice is this scrumptious pick:

| Double Yolk's Greek Skillet with buttered Sourdough Toast |
This awesomeness includes scrambled eggs, hash brown, gyro meat, feta cheese, onions, and tomatoes. The toast options were extensive so picked sourdough toast. Other options included pancakes and other potatoes. If you're into gyros and/or feta cheese, I highly recommend this one.
My brother went with some standard breakfast staple of biscuits and gravy known as the Down South. No that's not code for something even though it sounds like it.

I'm not a fan of biscuits and gravy at all. Not sure if its the black peppery taste or possible the texture of like a watery biscuit (also not code for anything) just not very appealing. I gave it a try and confirmed to still not be a fan of biscuits and gravy. Kind of curious of how it got its starts and turns out it was during the American Revolutionary War. I guess its as patriotic as French fries. Apparently it was a way to make the most out of food rations. Guessing my snobbish nature can detect the cheapness of it. LOL just kidding really is just the seasoning that I don't like.
Ended up eating all my food as I was starving. I like to think I burned calories afterwards as we ended up going miniature golfing. Luckily the weather was hot so I think I at least burned off a piece of toast. Fairly certain this might be the last day of unhealthy eating...for this current streak at least.
