A Korean BBQ Adventure

Today's adventure involved getting glasses! Ha! I was picking up my kids' new glasses and informed them that we would be going to lunch somewhere *near* the eye doctor. To my older son, that meant Bricks, which is a fired oven pizza place. I've been there a few times, but I didn't love it, and I thought it was one of those places that was too expensive for what it was. But he was sadly mistaken. We were going to eat at Jason's Deli but then the line was too long, and we walked by this on the way!
Korean BBQ! My kids weren't thrilled BUT. HAHAHA. Too bad for them. Kogii Kogii is the name. Not K-chicken-gee like I previously thought.

I decided to go for spicy chicken with brown rice and potato salad and a hard boiled egg for sides.

The rice was good, the spicy chicken was good but it was chicken breast, and kind of tough, a little chickeny in my opinion. The flavor was good but not as spicy as I would have liked. My kid ate the boiled egg (no complaints) and the potato salad was kind of sweet. It also was like three tiny pieces of potato.

My kids wanted to try these juices and basically did not love them. Orange and grape. Both had pulp which was certainly different. Would not let them get juice again.
Kids ended up getting the 5 piece fried chicken. Plain fried. They had garlic and soy sauce and other flavors but for a first time it was good. Kids also actually ate it.

Overall. Would totes go there again and try the spicy pork tacos. And maybe the bibimbap.
