.....TAKING ME TO ARBYS.....

Tonight's jaunt was to a place our family had never been before. ARBYS! Mmmmmm so delicious roast beef......(the title of this post is a Seinfeld reference....sorry)

Omg JK. It's a Mexican restaurant that is inside an old Arby's. An Arby's I used to work at circa 2004 in far south Naperville. As we were eating inside I thought, hello old friend. I used to mop these floors about a billion times. With my working Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday as my second/third job. Wooohooo. Now let's get down to the eating business. This is the actual name of the restaurant.

Soooo lets see. Here's THE MENU. Omg. I was going to get veggie enchiladas and then Reef was all "you're not getting chilequiles?" And I'm all "WHAT I MISSED THOSE YES I AM"

Reef had the chicken tacos. The meat was really tender and it made me a. Want to go here again and b. Order them. They also have a drive thru. Mmmmm.

Kiki (sometimes I call Karen Kiki. I started doing it in college. It's funny to me also because an old hs friend used to call Jalyn Kiki. I had forgotten about it until Jalyn reminded me) got an al pastor taco and a steak taco. I only tasted the al pastor. It was the kind that had pineapple in it. Not my ultimate favorite, but delicious.
This is how Kiki felt about her tacos. JK. She loved them.

Lily also had a steak taco, as well as this piƱa colada drink.

Did I mention we got chips and guac as an appetizer. YUMMO. Fresh chips and the guac was excellent. Mmmmm I could have just eaten guac.

Okey dokey. I had chilequiles of course. Salsa verde. Mmmmmmm

Then we packed up my half  of dinner and *some people* "helped" by shoving all the rest of the chips and guac on top of my leftovers. Ha! I may or may not have put the rest of the salsa verde on my food. Because it was delicious.

Then we got home. I did want a smidge of dessert. So I had some kind of dead apples. So OBVIOUSLY I made some kind of baked apple dessert from skinnytaste. Basically, you mix a little butter with brown sugar, oatmeal, flour and cinnamon and then bake it inside an apple (take out the seeds and core, duh). I totally recommend this recipe. Dirties barely any dishes and is sweet enough to make you feel like you had a good dessert, but also it's mostly apple so also healthy. I did not use quick oats, I used whatever the regular kind are. I don't think it made a difference.
