BBQ AND BEERS SO MUCH BEERS

Okey dokey. I'm behind again, possibly because drunk but also possibly because vacation. So J and I went to one of his fave places in/around Indy called Big Hoffa's  It's a pirate themed BBQ joint which is DELICIOUS. Behold.  

Jer had the Hoffinator. It's pulled pork topped with Mac n Cheese, baked beans, fries, ranch, and BBQ sauce. It is literally as delicious as you think it will be. I highly supported this, and omg, DID I MENTION IT HAD MAC N CHEESE ON IT? Omg. It was so good. I'm so glad he let me have a taste because YUMMO. 

 I had the Buccaneer sandwich which was pulled pork, fries, cole slaw, ranch on a deliciously buttery bun. I'm now dead from eating this. No joke. FRENCH FRIES ON PULLED PORK. Omg omg omg omg. I thought I loved slaw only on pulled pork. This is so much more epic than that. Mmmmmmmmmmmm I'm dying. I'm already dead. Omg. 

 

Jer also had the smoked sausage which they smoke then deep fry and he got a spicy BBQ sauce with it, which, was so good I would have died further had I not already been dead. Srsly. 

 

I also just took some photos of the restaurant because it was cool and piratey. 

 

 

 Then later we went to the Red Key Tavern for some drinks. This is a really neat neighborhood bar that has RULES and is also just very old school. The regulars were playing Euchre (I think? Jer? And I right? I don't know games. I think that's what he said. Also drunk. Well. A little.) which was pretty neat. Apparently the day we were there was the first day the neon sign was going to be lit at night after it had had a refurb. 

 

 

 

 

 

Just a lot of neat history in this place, as well as beer. Did I mention beer? We also went to a beer bash which I will post pix of, but mostly I was drunk so I didn't take a ton of pix of what was going on. But we will get to that later. Red Key was fantastic. Would love to go there again! Woohooooooo
